AHSTS Cast and Production Staff Commitment
Any student who volunteers to take part in Theatrical Society productions as an actor or crew member is making a serious personal commitment and will be held accountable for their behavior, with that accountability being measured with the following in mind—that their participation in the show is a special priority in their lives.
Health
Any member of a production will be held to conducting themselves responsibility during rehearsals and the run of the show in the matter of health, with a special emphasis place on being well rested for each performance and rehearsal so that they may give the best performance they can or do their job as a company member as best they can.
Attendance
Any member of a production must be on time and stay the entire time for all rehearsals, performances and related activities including strike, giving their best to make this show a success. Rehearsals will be after-school, in the evening, and on Saturdays and all members and parents cannot schedule other activities during these times that conflict with the rehearsal schedule once accepting that they will be part of the production. Failure to attend rehearsals, excessive tardiness, leaving rehearsals early or not attending related production activities may lead to being recast or replaced.
If you plan to audition or be a part of the technical and costume crew, no exceptions will be granted to actors or crew for missing a Technical Rehearsal or Dress Rehearsals.
Conduct
All members must understand that if they fail to commitment or in anyway violate the Code of Conduct as detailed in the Student Handbook they may be recast or replaced.
Set, Costumes, Props
All company members will be called upon to help in the construction of the set and providing help in acquiring costumes and props.
Business Program Ads
All AHSTS members who benefit from fee reduction are expected to find a least one business program ad for each production they are a company member of. All AHSTS members who benefit from fee reduction who do not find a least one business program ad for each production they are a company member of may not run in AHSTS Officer Elections and lose eligibility for Advisor and MVP awards.
Students and Parents: Please detail any conflicts that could interfere with the above rehearsal schedule. Please be specific, because if a member of the company has to be replaced or recast because he or she can not meet the expectations of the Production Commitment then the activity fee paid is forfeit.
