| Common Questions and Answers About AHSTS Auditions |
Q: Do I have to have acting experience to be cast? | A: Students will not be excluded from being cast simply because they are inexperienced. |
Q: Do I have to be in a drama class to audition? Can I audition if I am a freshman? | A: All students are welcome to audition. Roles are offered to actors who best suit the part. What grade an actor is in is not considered. |
| Q: I have never been on stage or acted before, should I still audition? | A: Everyone can act, and does so every single day. |
| Q: I would rather work as a crew member, what do I do? | A: Please fill out the Audition and Crew Form, and we will find a position for you! Description of crew positions can be found in the AHSTS Production Staff section of this website. |

| Q: What will I have to do at the audition? | A: The audition requirements for each AHSTS production are unique to each production. Once the audition guidelines are decided upon, you can follow this link to learn more about the audition frameworks for the upcoming production. |
| Q: If I get a part, what kind of time requirement should I expect? | A: Any student who volunteers to take part in Theatrical Society productions as an actor or crew member is making a serious personal commitment and will find themselves to be restricted in their ability to participate in other activities, especially sports. Quite a few crew positions allow a great deal of flexiblity, allowing students to participate in sports or other activities. The AHSTS Cast and Production Staff Commitment description can be found in the AHSTS Handbook section of this website. The rehearsal schedule for the upcoming production can be found here (when document is ready). |
