Welcome to the AHSTS Website! The focus of the Ashland High School Drama Program and the Ashland High School Theatrical Society is to enhance our students' education by providing the opportunity to develop the skills needed to cope with the varied demands of today’s world. Those skills include understanding themselves and others, becoming more effective communicators and leaders, developing self-confidence and self-discipline, and planning and executing individual and group efforts in connection with theatrical endeavors. AHSTS is an extracurricular program which produces two productions and an improv night each year. It is overseen by student officers, who are elected by the membership each year. The Theatrical Society is the largest extracurricular program at Ashland High School. The Theatrical Society is not about individuals—it is about students working together and giving what time they can. AHSTS productions and activities are group efforts cumulating in a final product that are symbols of the collaborative efforts of all involved. The Theatrical Society is open to all—no matter what grade you are in or what your skills are. It is a place where everyone is equal and everyone will be treated with respect.
